Frontend Engineering Lead (React / Angular, Full-Stack Optional)

 

We are looking for a Frontend Engineering Lead to drive the development of modern, scalable web applications using React as the primary framework, while supporting and evolving existing Angular-based solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining frontend development, delivery ownership, and team leadership. The position focuses on building high-performance, maintainable, and modular UI platforms in a complex enterprise environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Architecture & Design

• Define and implement modern frontend architectures using React (component-driven, modular design)
• Establish and evolve UI standards and reusable components
• Lead modernization initiatives, including transitioning legacy Angular implementations
• Ensure solutions are scalable and decoupled
• Leverage design-to-code and AI-assisted tooling where appropriate to accelerate UI delivery while maintaining quality

Delivery Ownership

• Own end-to-end frontend delivery
• Translate requirements into technical designs
• Drive backlog, planning, and quality
• Ensure timely delivery

Engineering Excellence

• Enforce best practices in:
• Code quality
• Testing (unit / integration / e2e)
• Performance optimization
• Usability, accessibility, and reliability

Performance, Scalability & Data Handling

• Design UIs for large datasets
• Implement:
• Efficient data fetching and caching
• Pagination (offset / cursor)
• Lazy loading and virtualization
• Optimize rendering, memory usage, and latency

Search, Indexing & Backend Data Integration

• Integrate with indexed / search-based backends
• Enable fast filtering, aggregation, and retrieval
• Collaborate on API / query design aligned with frontend needs

Full-Stack Collaboration

• Familiarity with APIs and service design is beneficial

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor engineers
• Conduct code reviews
• Support hiring and capability building
• Foster ownership and quality

 

Required Skills & Experience

Frontend Expertise

• Strong experience with React and modern frontend development
• Working knowledge of Angular
• Angular version upgrades and migration experience. Especially Angular 20.x
• Deep understanding of:
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• State management patterns
• HTML5, CSS3
• Experience translating Figma designs into high-quality, production-ready UI components with strong fidelity and consistency

Performance & Data Handling

• Experience building UIs for large datasets
• Strong expertise in:
• Pagination
• Rendering optimization (memoization, virtualization)
• Efficient API usage

Search & Data Retrieval

• Experience with:
• Search-driven architectures
• Filtering and aggregation
• Async data handling and eventual consistency

Architecture & Design

• Experience designing scalable frontend systems
• Strong understanding of modular component architectures

Engineering Practices

• Experience with:
• Version control
• CI/CD pipelines
• Testing frameworks
• Strong engineering discipline

AI-Assisted Development

• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, intelligent completion, automated testing support) to improve engineering productivity
• Ability to apply AI pragmatically to accelerate development while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability

• Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging AI capabilities to enhance frontend development workflows and developer experience
