Job Description & Summary: A career within…. 

 

Responsibilities: 

The SAP PP Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Production Planning module to optimize manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules. 

Implementation & Configuration 

  • Design, customize, and configure the SAP PP module based on business requirements. 

  • Facilitate workshops to gather and analyze business process requirements. 

  • Develop functional specifications and test scripts. 

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing. 

  • Support full-cycle SAP PP implementations including blueprinting, realization, and go-live. 

Support & Troubleshooting 

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level SAP support for production planning issues. 

  • Investigate and resolve system errors and user-reported problems. 

  • Document resolutions and help desk documentation. 

Integration & Collaboration 

  • Coordinate with other SAP module consultants (MM, SD, QM, FICO) for cross-functional integration. 

  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements and debugging. 

  • Ensure proper data flow and integration with Product Costing and PLM systems. 

Training & Documentation 

  • Conduct end-user training and create user manuals. 

  • Document all configurations, processes, and updates. 

  • Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations. 

 

Required Skills & Experience: 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong expertise in SAP PP including: 

  • Master Data (BOM, Work Centers, Routing) 

  • MRP (Material Requirement Planning) 

  • Capacity Planning 

  • Production Orders 

  • PP-PI (Process Industries) 

  • Integration knowledge with SAP MM, SD, QM, and APO. 

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. 

  • Basic understanding of ABAP debugging is a plus.
