Specialist - Cloud & Infra Management
Role Title Data Protection Automation EngineerWe are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Protection Automation Engineer You should have excellent knowledge of the scrum framework with all its artifacts and techniques Youll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects with your mind set on deliverables
In this role you will
Contribute to sprints retrospective meetings and daily standups
Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
Design develop test and support automation for the data protection services NetBackup and CommVault within the bank
Design develop test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation
Provide engineering support on the banks data protection products and their standard usage
Undertake product evaluation new features and versions
Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for all automation produced
Mentor less experienced members of staff
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts such as definition of done user stories automated testing backlog refinement
Extensive knowledge of software development languages including Python Bash
Comprehensive experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible
Proficient in designing developing and testing Rest API services
Hands on experience in Devops SCM tooling GitHub
Competent in Devops CICD tooling Jenkins CloudBees
Skilled in using Devops collaboration tools Jira Confluence
Knowledgeable in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure
Knowledgeable in Commvault and related infrastructure
