Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Design: Prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings for HVAC duct layouts, piping, equipment layouts, sections, elevations, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar software
- Shop & As-Built Drawings: Convert engineering concepts/markups into fabrication-ready shop drawings and update as-built drawings post-installation
- Coordination: Work closely with HVAC engineers, MEP coordinators, architects, and site teams to resolve clashes and ensure proper space allocation with other services
- BOQ & Material Take-off: Extract quantities for ducts, fittings, insulation, grilles/diffusers, and equipment from drawings for estimation/procurement
- Standards & Compliance: Follow SMACNA, ASHRAE, NBC/IS codes, and company drafting standards for symbols, line types, dimensions, and layering
- Revisions: Incorporate design changes, RFIs, and site feedback quickly and accurately into drawings
- Documentation: Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and organized CAD file structures
