Job Title: Accounts Cum Cashier

Department: Accounts & Finance

Location: Narol, Ahmedabad

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Accounts Cum Cashier is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, cash handling, banking activities, billing, collections, compliance support, and financial reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in financial records, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Cash Handling

  • Manage daily cash receipts and payments
  • Maintain physical cash and cash book records
  • Verify cash vouchers and supporting documents
  • Handle petty cash management and reimbursements
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation

Accounting Operations

  • Record financial transactions in Tally and company software
  • Maintain purchase, sales, expense, and payment entries
  • Pass journal, receipt, payment, and contra vouchers
  • Conduct ledger scrutiny and reconciliation
  • Maintain daybook and general ledger records

Banking Activities

  • Deposit cash and cheques in banks
  • Handle online banking transactions (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI)
  • Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
  • Coordinate with banks regarding statements and payment-related matters

Receivables & Payables Management

  • Monitor customer outstanding payments
  • Follow up with clients for collections
  • Plan and manage vendor payments
  • Maintain payable and receivable aging reports

Tax & Compliance Support

  • Assist in GST data preparation and filing
  • Maintain records required for GST compliance
  • Verify GST invoices and tax calculations
  • Support auditors and Chartered Accountants during audits
  • Assist in TDS filing and RCM compliance activities

MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare daily cash reports
  • Generate weekly expense summaries
  • Support monthly profit and loss reporting
  • Prepare collection and outstanding reports
  • Provide cash flow reports to management

Billing & Documentation

  • Generate invoices, debit notes, and credit notes
  • Verify freight bills, transporter bills, and expense bills
  • Maintain vendor bills and payment schedules
  • Follow up with operations and sales teams for pending documents

Additional Responsibilities

  • Handle all purchase and sales entries
  • Record and monitor daily business expenses
  • Manage petty expense payments and vouchers
  • Monitor employee attendance records
  • Prepare daily expense reports
  • Maintain courier dispatch and tracking records
  • Ensure timely reporting to management
  • Support collection and payment follow-ups

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
  • Proficiency in Tally, MS Office, and accounting software
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, cashiering, or finance operations
  • Experience with GST, TDS, and banking transactions
  • Knowledge of logistics or transportation industry accounting will be an added advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Hours

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday
  • Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
