Enterprise Software Engineer
About the Role:
The Enterprise Software Engineer (SAP O2C) works with various business partners, projects managers, functional analysts, system analysts, quality assurance and production support teams to deliver on various initiatives supporting SAP Practice. Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing functional and configuration design plans and documents for the requirements to be implemented.
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal Wolters Kluwer clients to define their business requirements, evaluate alternative solutions, streamline business processes, and provide critical insight into the feasibility and business benefit of proposed solutions and projects
- SAP configuration expert in Sales and Distribution (SD) module. Multiple sales Organization across globe and multi currencies work experience.
- Implementation work experience in various types of contracts and sales documents. Multiple GEO sales and fulfillment processes
- Basic cross functional working knowledge about M2F, and Inventory management functions.
- Analysis, planning, logical and physical design, configuration, testing, implementation, documentation, training and support of Sales and Distribution module and related interfaces.
- Work with Leads in requirements and design sessions to identify and resolve O2C functional related issues.
- Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as unit, system, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
- Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Provide support for any production support services and/or issues as they arise.
- Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
- Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
- Understand the use of industry tools / technology & their impact on project & operational goals
Represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative. Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation.
Education:
Required: Master’s Degree in computer science or related field.
Certification preferred:
SAP Professional certification
Experience: Minimum 5 + years broad Information Technology experience in:
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in development, and implementation of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module and have assisted multiple SAP rollouts.
- SAP Cross module working experience with FI, and sub-contracting functions.
- Must have SAP support projects, upgrade and enhancement pack update experience.
- Work experience in multiple SAP landscape, code compare and merge across environments.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in documenting and writing functional designs, creating, and documenting solution/technical designs, configuration setup and solution proposals.
- Exposure to New interface /data extracts techniques.
- Experience in implementing a test data management for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module
- Experience in data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills with attention to details
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment demonstrating strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures
- Ability to support the leads in business requirement workshops, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
- Strong knowledge of organization policies and procedures
- Demonstrated experience in using industry standard toolsets to deliver various initiatives
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in Media / publishing Industry domains
- Experience in designing and implementing a test data management
- Experience with SOD/SOX controls, Security roles
