Microsoft 365 Migration Architect - Subcontractor
Area(s) of responsibility
The Microsoft 365 Migration Architect is responsible for executing tenant to tenant migrations of Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams using Quest On Demand Migration (ODM).
This role owns the end to end M365 migration execution, including pilot execution, wave based cutovers, and post migration validation, while ensuring minimal business disruption and a seamless end user experience.

Key Responsibilities
Migration Architecture & Design
Execute tenant to tenant Microsoft 365 migration for Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Teams
Validate the migration
Licensing
Exchange Online configuration
SharePoint & OneDrive provisioning
Teams policies and prerequisites
Provide post migrate support by resolving issues

Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) knowledge
Must have knowledge of Quest ODM for M365 migration
Directory sync & user matching
Mailbox migration jobs
OneDrive migration jobs
Teams & Teams chat migration
Manage Quest Desktop Update / DUA agents for client reconfiguration

Exchange Online (Email) Migration
Migrate:
User mailboxes
Shared & resource mailboxes
Calendars, contacts, and delegates
Execute:
Pre stage mailbox synchronization
Delta sync and final cutover
Primary SMTP and email address changes
Configure mail flow:
Mail forwarding (temporary)
Connectors and transport rules
MX record cutover planning
