ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

In this role, you will design, build and deliver backend AI driven automation solutions that support Contracting Operations and Revenue Management platforms. Your work will focus on workflow automation, API integrations, backend services and AI-enabled capabilities that reduce manual effort, improve data quality and increase process efficiency.

You will partner with business, product, architecture and engineering teams to translate operational problems into scalable backend solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role with ownership from technical design through implementation, integration, testing and stabilization.

You will operate within a defined problem space, partnering with senior leaders to shape solution approaches and guide implementation across a small team. You will make design and implementation decisions within your scope, aligned to broader architectural direction. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership from design through delivery while actively building and implementing solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, Build and Configure intelligent, AI-driven automation solutions using Python and Databricks across enterprise platforms, aligned with established designs and patterns.
• Design & Develop backend services, API integrations, middleware components and event-driven automation workflows.
• Integrate with enterprise AI services and LLM APIs to enable intelligent automation, summarization, data extraction and assistant-style capabilities.
• Drive automation of pricing, revenue and forecasting workflows across Salesforce CPQ, Model N and Anaplan within the defined scope.
• Build secure and maintainable services with proper error handling, logging, retries, caching and monitoring.
• Prototype automation and AI-enabled workflows, then iterate quickly based on business feedback.
• Collaborate with architecture, AI platform teams and cross-functional partners to align solutions with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews and implementation support.
• Own delivery from design through stabilization, driving measurable improvements in cycle time, data quality and operational efficiency.

Technology Focus Areas:

• Design and implement Generative AI solutions and AI‑driven automation using Python and Databricks to enable efficient workflow orchestration and process optimization.
• Leverage AI orchestration frameworks, APIs and machine learning libraries to build intelligent and scalable solutions.
• Work with AI assistants/copilots, vector search (embeddings-based retrieval), and prompt-driven workflows within enterprise platforms.
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java, microservices and APIs.
• Build and configure workflow and rules‑based automation to support business process execution.
• Utilize enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N, Databricks and Anaplan to deliver integrated solutions.
• Apply knowledge of data structures and models supporting contract lifecycle, pricing, and revenue management processes.
• Integrate with enterprise AI services such as Azure OpenAI or similar platforms to enable advanced AI capabilities.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree and 8-12 years of experience
• 4+ years of experience in design & development of AI-powered automation workflows using Python and Databricks, driving efficiency across enterprise processes and systems.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks, APIs, ML libraries and automation tools, workflows and scripting to build intelligent, scalable solutions.
• Experience developing integrations using APIs, middleware or event-driven architectures building scalable and intelligent solutions.
• Good to have experience in Salesforce, CPQ/CLM and Data integrations using Databricks.
• Ability to evaluate when AI-driven approaches are appropriate versus deterministic automation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and business functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Java, Databricks & Python Automation.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph), APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Hugging Face) and ML libraries (TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Familiar with AI/ML CI/CD pipelines (MLOps/AIOps) to enable continuous development, deployment and monitoring of AI-driven workflows.
• Exposure to Salesforce, CLM/CPQ, Model N and Anaplan.
• Experience configuring workflows, rules or automation within enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting system integrations or data synchronization processes.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management or pricing systems.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Demonstrated progression in taking on increasingly complex technical tasks within a team setting.
