About the Role

 

The Lead Analyst, Research & Analysis (R&A) supports the Singapore and Philippines Large Corporate Banking franchises, partnering closely with Coverage and Credit Risk teams to manage a portfolio of complex institutional relationships. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality credit analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio management across large corporate clients operating in sectors such as manufacturing, industrials, retail, real estate, media, and diversified corporates.

 

As a key risk partner to the business, you will evaluate creditworthiness, identify emerging risks, and provide well-informed recommendations that support sound credit decisions and sustainable business growth. This role offers significant exposure to sophisticated corporate structures, complex lending transactions, and senior stakeholder engagement across regional markets.

What will your day look like?


As an Lead Research & Analysis Analyst, your accountabilities include:

 

  • Conduct comprehensive financial, industry, and business analysis to assess the creditworthiness of large corporate clients.
  • Evaluate risks associated with capital structures, liquidity profiles, operating performance, ownership frameworks, and industry dynamics.
  • Prepare high-quality credit applications, annual reviews, and portfolio assessments that support effective credit decision-making.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of large corporate relationships, ensuring timely completion of reviews, risk monitoring, covenant tracking, and credit actions.
  • Drive end-to-end credit lifecycle activities, including credit analysis, risk grading, approval processes, documentation review, and ongoing portfolio surveillance.
  • Identify emerging portfolio risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies to maintain portfolio quality.
  • Partner closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction and portfolio management lifecycle.
  • Support financing transactions through detailed assessment of deal structures, financial risks, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal credit policies, and portfolio management standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance risk management effectiveness and operational efficiency.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking, Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Leveraged Finance, or Financial Analysis.
  • Experience analyzing large corporate clients and complex credit structures
  • Experience analyzing large corporate and multinational clients.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), Master's in Economics, CFA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience preparing and presenting credit recommendations in a banking or financial services environment.
