Assistant Manager - EHS
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive HSE programs for logistics operations to promote a strong safety culture.
- Design and deliver training programs, verify implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives.
- Oversee and manage safety programs including, but not limited to:
- Project Safety
- Road, Rail, and Warehouse Safety
- Fire and Life Safety
- Chemical Safety
- Logistics Safety
- Hazardous Materials Transportation & Storage
- Hygiene, Accident & Injury Prevention
- Environmental Compliance
- Emergency Response, Risk Management, Loss Control
- Drive continuous safety awareness programs for employees and contractual workforce.
- Act as a key coordinator for high‑risk operational activities such as:
- Work at height
- Structural stability
- Lifting plans
- Heavy vehicle movement and management
- Ensure thorough investigation, reporting, and analysis of all incidents, near misses, major incidents, and fatalities to prevent recurrence.
- Review minor and major incidents with concerned departments and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and lead emergency response teams; plan, conduct, and review mock drills and spill response exercises.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all HSE legal and statutory requirements at State and Central levels.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and corporate HSE frameworks.
- Identify and eliminate risks associated with logistics and warehouse operations, occupational injuries/illnesses, and property losses using recognized loss prevention and control techniques.
- Direct and supervise safety aspects for Operations, Projects, Maintenance, and Fire Services.
- Ensure continuous training, competency development, and upskilling of employees and contractors to enhance safety performance, efficiency, and individual growth.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Engineering (mandatory)
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety, specifically within Agri Logistics and Warehouse Operations.
