The Endpoint Security Lead Specialist, you will be a key technical leader responsible for providing oversight, developing security recommendations, and ensuring the secure configuration of Computacenter’s IT environment

What you’ll do

 

• Deep technical understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Proven experience in securing configurations across Endpoint, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Network environments.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and tools relevant to each domain (e.g., EDR, IAM, firewalls, cloud security controls).
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of Endpoint security solutions such as Defender, Jampf, Tanium in large and complex multi-tenant deployments
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical environments and identify security risks.
• Strong problem-solving skills to develop effective security recommendations and solutions.

What you’ll need

 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, Information technology, or a related field. 
• 10 years of experience working in a Cyber Operations environment as security lead specialist, with demonstrable experience in specific technologies/domains.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate), or other security-focused certifications are desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

 

Security Lead Specialist:

• Provide expert security oversight for projects and operational activities across Endpoint,.
• Review and assess proposed architectures, designs, and configurations to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Security Recommendation Development:
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable security recommendations for the secure configuration and deployment of technologies across Endpoint and Security Change.
• Define security baselines, hardening standards based on CIS, and best practices for various platforms and services.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Securing Configurations:
• Lead and guide the implementation of secure configurations across Endpoint devices (Servers, laptops, desktops, mobile)
• Collaborate with Platforms and Services to ensure security requirements are integrated into deployment and configuration processes.
• Validate the implementation of secure configurations through reviews and testing.
• Endpoint Security:
• Provide security guidance for endpoint protection technologies, including EDR, antivirus, device control, and patch management.
• Ability to operate in large complex and dispersed endpoint environments.
• Define secure configuration standards based on CIS for operating systems and endpoint applications.
