Job Description
Core ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, testing, and maintaining Power Platform solutions is a key part of this role. The role involves developing software that controls Power Platform solutions, monitors their performance, and transmits data to external systems. The individual will be responsible for developing Power Apps model-driven and canvas-driven applications and automating business processes and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom solutions. It also involves integrating Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services and third-party applications.Skills & ExperienceThe candidate should demonstrate strong skills in creating Power Platform solutions across all phases of the SDLC and service transition. The role requires the ability to develop, configure, and customise Power Pages, Power Automate processes, Power Apps, and related components. Practical experience in model-driven applications and the Power Platform API is essential.The individual should have knowledge of Dataverse and data modelling principles and should be capable of acting as a trusted advisor for Power Apps and Power Automate by providing best practices and guidance. The role also involves developing and implementing plans for unit and system testing while following formal change control processes.The candidate should be confident in working with business units to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions. Experience working in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is expected to support incremental value delivery. Demonstrable experience working in the Lloyds Insurance market, along with the ability to understand core insurance processes and terminology, is preferred. The role also involves utilising Copilot to enhance the delivery of Power Apps development.Personal QualitiesThe individual should be detail-oriented and meticulous, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality solutions. The candidate should have the ability to analyse problems at a high level, present solutions, and execute development effectively. A positive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise them efficiently is essential. The role requires an understanding of the value of business analysis within the organisation and the ability to work as a team player while collaborating closely with other members of the Technology team.
