Associate General Manager – Railway Projects

Responsibilities

Projects Railways Lead - Coal Mining

Strategy and Business Planning:

Develop strategic plans and initiatives & support site team for optimize railway operations, improve efficiency, and enhance service reliability across different projects.

Monitor progress throughout the project, address potential challenges, and provide guidance and support to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Liasoning with railways and Conduct business planning activities, including market analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, to support long-term growth and sustainability.

Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives within the allocated timeframes and financial constraints.

Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement, aligning business objectives with operational capabilities and customer needs.

Lead capacity enhancement projects in line with the business growth, along with other major and minor projects for enhancing the railway operations

Lead the strategic development and execution of capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans for railway projects, ensuring alignment with long-term infrastructure goals and financial sustainability.

Monitor and report on CAPEX project progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet changing demands and maximize the value of capital investments within the railway sector.

OHE Project Management:

Oversee multiple OHE projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Ensure all OHE installations and maintenance activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines in collaboration with site Railways team.

Oversee scheduling and resource allocation, optimizing network capacity and minimizing delays.

Civil projects Cordination:

Coordinate with Site Railways team to inspect the reports on maintenance activities for civil infrastructure, including bridges, tracks, platforms, stations, and other structures, to ensure structural integrity and safety.

Coordinate with vendors and supervise the management vendor contracts and procurement for civil maintenance projects, ensuring quality of work and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and productivity across civil projects.

S&T Project & Operations:

Monitor the project work & support in maintenance and operation of signaling and telecommunication systems, ensuring reliable communication and safe train control in accordance with Site team.

Collaborate with the Signaling and Telecommunication Lead to review PM schedules, inspections reports, and address system failures promptly.

Govern vendor contracts and AMC agreements for signaling and telecommunication equipment, ensuring service delivery and compliance with SLAs.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with S&T projects, including technical, operational, and financial risks.

Stakeholder Management:

Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across all railway projects.

Technology Innovation and Integration:

Proficient in leveraging digital tools for planning, monitoring, and managing railway projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks and milestones.

Utilize advanced digital platforms to enhance communication, coordination, and decision-making across multi-disciplinary teams involved in railway projects.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc/ MBA
