Job Description
- Install, replace, and commission smart electricity meters.
- Remove existing energy meters and install new smart meters.
- Perform wiring, termination, and electrical connections as per standards.
- Conduct meter testing to ensure proper functionality and communication.
- Ensure accurate meter reading and consumer details are recorded.
- Install Meter Communication Units (MCUs), modems, and associated accessories where required.
- Resolve basic electrical faults related to meter installation.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and use PPE during all field activities.
- Update installation reports, mobile app entries, and daily work status.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project engineers.
- Educate consumers about smart meter usage and basic features.
- Achieve daily installation targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Handle company tools and equipment responsibly.
- Report technical issues, damaged materials, or safety concerns immediately.
