Job Description

Position Summary

The Sales Head will be primarily responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, with a strong focus on preparing and submitting quotations to prospective clients, ensuring timely follow-up, and maximizing quotation-to-order conversion. The role requires proactive client engagement, effective coordination with internal teams, and ownership of revenue targets.



Key Responsibilities

Quotation Management

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on client requirements.
  • Ensure all quotations are submitted within agreed turnaround times.
  • Maintain a quotation tracking system and monitor the status of all proposals.
  • Coordinate with operations and management teams to ensure pricing and scope are aligned with company policies.
  • Review and update quotations as required based on client feedback.

Quotation Conversion & Follow-Up

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients on submitted quotations.
  • Identify and address client concerns, objections, and commercial queries.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines.
  • Drive timely conversion of quotations into confirmed orders/projects.
  • Analyze reasons for lost quotations and implement corrective actions to improve conversion rates.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during the proposal and negotiation stage.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication.

Sales Performance & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Develop a healthy sales pipeline through referrals, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Monitor sales opportunities and ensure prompt response to inquiries.
  • Generate repeat business from existing clients.

Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain daily records of quotations sent, follow-ups conducted, and orders received.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Track quotation conversion ratio and sales performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to management on key opportunities and challenges.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of quotations submitted per month.
  • Average quotation turnaround time.
  • Quotation-to-order conversion percentage.
  • Revenue generated from converted quotations.
  • Follow-up compliance rate.
  • Client retention and repeat business.
  • Outstanding quotation aging.

Required Skills

  • Strong proposal and quotation preparation skills.
  • Excellent follow-up and negotiation abilities.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Attention to detail and commercial understanding.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM, Excel, and sales tracking tools.

Preferred Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in B2B sales, liaison services, consulting, compliance services, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of high quotation conversion rates and revenue achievement.
