Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and products. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering fundamentals, experience with CAD software, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and design records.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Identify and implement design improvements for cost, quality, and performance.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks software.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting, molding, and sheet metal.
• Knowledge of materials engineering and material selection.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and standards.
• Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and design validation.
• Knowledge of BOM preparation and product lifecycle documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in product design, machine design, industrial equipment, or automotive components is preferred.
