Job Description
A Telesales cum Receptionist role is a hybrid position that combines front-desk management with outbound and inbound telephone sales. This role acts as the face and voice of the company, responsible for greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, and actively promoting products or services over the phone. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Administration
- First Point of Contact: Welcome visitors, clients, and guests, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Call Management: Answer, screen, and route incoming calls, take accurate messages, and address general front-office inquiries.
- Reception Upkeep: Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Clerical Duties: Handle daily mail, courier services, maintain visitor logs, and assist with filing or basic data entry. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Telesales & Customer Support
- Lead Generation & Pitching: Make outbound calls to prospective clients to pitch products or services. [1, 2]
- Lead Qualification: Assess prospective customers' requirements and preferences, and nurture leads to schedule appointments or site visits. [1, 2]
- Order Processing: Take orders, process sales, and accurately update customer databases (CRM systems). [1, 2]
- Complaint Handling: Address initial customer grievances or complaints over the phone, redirecting complex issues to the appropriate department when necessary. [1, 2]
- Quota Management: Work toward achieving agreed-upon sales targets and KPIs. [1, 2]
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a Bachelor's degree is often preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language, with a clear, polite telephone voice.
- Tech-Savviness: Basic knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
- Interpersonal Skills: A pleasant personality, patience, and the ability to handle rejection or difficult customers calmly.
