Position : Assistant Accountant

Salary : ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Based on qualifications, experience, and interview performance)
Job Summary : The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance & Accounts department by ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, assisting with statutory compliance, and preparing financial reports. The role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and a sound understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Process vendor invoices, customer invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Perform bank, ledger, and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Support statutory compliance activities, including GST, TDS, and other applicable tax filings.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist in payroll accounting, fixed asset accounting, and expense management.
- Prepare schedules and documentation required for internal and external audits.
- Ensure proper maintenance of financial records, supporting documents, and filing systems.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, customers, and internal departments on finance-related matters.
- Identify discrepancies in financial records and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Support the Finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting functions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CA Inter or CMA Inter will be an added advantage.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience. Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy, or other ERP/accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
