Job Title: Junior Merchandiser

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive Junior Merchandiser to support our factory's order execution process — acting as a coordination point between buyers, the production floor, and suppliers. This is an entry-to-mid level role ideal for someone who wants to build a career in garment merchandising and factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior merchandisers in managing the full order cycle — from order confirmation to shipment
• Coordinate with the sampling team to develop and track proto, fit, and pre-production (PP) samples as per buyer requirements
• Follow up on raw material procurement (fabric, trims, accessories) to ensure timely availability for production
• Track and update the Time & Action (T&A) calendar for each order, flagging any delays to seniors
• Liaise with the production floor to monitor order status, quality, and adherence to timelines
• Maintain and update order files, costings, and buyer communication records
• Communicate with buyers/clients on order status, sample approvals, and shipment schedules under guidance from senior merchandisers
• Support quality checks and ensure production follows buyer specifications and approved samples
• Coordinate with logistics/dispatch teams to ensure timely shipment of finished orders
• Prepare basic reports on order status, stock, and production progress for management review

Requirements & Skills:

• Graduate/Diploma in Textile, Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or related field (freshers with relevant internship experience may apply)
• Basic understanding of the garment production process, fabrics, and trims
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) to coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Word; familiarity with ERP or merchandising software is a plus
• Strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously
• Willingness to work from the factory/office and occasionally under tight deadlines
