Social Media Researcher & Script Writer

About the Role

We're looking for someone who naturally spends hours on Instagram, YouTube, X, Reddit, TikTok, and other platforms—not just consuming content, but understanding why it works.

Your job is to identify emerging trends, reverse-engineer viral content, find repeatable storytelling patterns, and turn insights into engaging scripts for short-form and long-form content.

Key Responsibilities

Trend & Content Research

• Doom-scroll social media daily to identify viral and emerging trends.
• Research creators across multiple niches and document what is performing well.
• Spot recurring content formats, hooks, storytelling structures, editing styles, and engagement patterns.
• Track audience conversations, memes, controversies, and cultural moments before they become mainstream.

Pattern Finding

• Analyze why videos go viral.
• Identify repeatable frameworks behind high-performing content.
• Maintain a database of proven hooks, CTAs, titles, thumbnails, and storytelling techniques.
• Present actionable insights rather than just collecting links.

Scriptwriting

• Write engaging short-form scripts (30–90 seconds).
• Write YouTube video outlines and long-form scripts.
• Craft strong hooks that capture attention within the first 3–5 seconds.
• Adapt writing style for different creators, brands, and audiences.

Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor competitors and industry leaders.
• Analyze what is working and what is failing.
• Suggest content opportunities and gaps that competitors are missing.

Content Ideation

• Generate fresh content ideas every week.
• Convert research into publishable content concepts.
• Collaborate with editors and creators to improve retention and engagement.

Requirements

• Excellent internet research skills.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, and Reddit.
• Exceptional observation skills—you notice patterns others miss.
• Strong storytelling and scriptwriting ability.
• Ability to summarize complex ideas into engaging, concise content.
• Self-driven, curious, and highly organized.
• Comfortable using AI tools for research and ideation without relying on them for originality.

Nice to Have

• Experience writing viral content.
• Understanding of audience psychology and retention.
• Familiarity with analytics and performance metrics.
• Experience using Notion, Google Docs, Airtable, or similar research tools.
• Knowledge of meme culture and internet communities.
