Pre Sales Engineer

Job SummaryThe Pre-Sales Engineer – ELV Systems is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team by designing, estimating, and proposing integrated ELV solutions. The role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting site surveys, developing system designs, and supporting business development efforts to secure new projects. The Pre-Sales Engineer serves as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, vendors, and project execution teams.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales & Solution DesignAnalyze client requirements, tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Design ELV solutions based on customer needs, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Prepare system architecture, schematic diagrams, network layouts, and solution designs.
• Recommend appropriate products and technologies from approved manufacturers and vendors.
• Develop integrated solutions involving multiple ELV systems.
• Estimation & Proposal PreparationPrepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, BOMs, and technical submittals.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and vendors for project costing.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and bid submissions.
• Ensure proposals meet customer specifications and project requirements.
• Optimize solution costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
• Tender & Bid ManagementReview RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
• Identify technical compliance requirements and prepare compliance statements.
• Coordinate with sales and management teams for bid strategy and submission.
• Participate in tender clarifications and technical discussions.
• Technical Support to Sales TeamAssist sales teams during customer meetings and presentations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical workshops.
• Explain technical solutions to customers, consultants, architects, and stakeholders.
• Support negotiations by providing technical justifications and value engineering options.
• Site Surveys & Project CoordinationConduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements.
• Coordinate with project execution teams during project handover.
• Provide technical support during project implementation when required.
• Assist in resolving technical queries from customers and project teams.
• Vendor & Product ManagementMaintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and technology partners.
• Stay updated on new ELV technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Participate in product training and certification programs.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to strengthen CKS offerings.
• Documentation & ReportingMaintain proposal documentation, design records, and project files.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Update management on bid status, pipeline support, and project opportunities.
