Factory Supervisor

The Purchase Coordinator & Site Logistics Supervisor is responsible for keeping production moving by sourcing materials locally, maintaining an organized factory storeroom, and physically managing the safe transit, unloading, and handover of finished premium products at project sites.

This role requires a proactive individual who splits time between on-the-road procurement, factory inventory control, and site coordination.

• Key Responsibilities

• 1. Sourcing & Purchase Coordination (On-the-Ground & Local Markets)
• Local Procurement: Physically visit local industrial markets, hardware hubs, and vendors to source raw materials, pigments, specialized tools, and emergency factory supplies.
• Vendor Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with regular suppliers, verify stock availability, negotiate quick turnarounds, and cross-check prices.
• Financial Accountability: Responsibly manage petty cash or digital payments for daily purchases; collect, organize, and submit accurate bills, receipts, and delivery chalans to accounts daily.
• 2. Store & Inventory Management (Factory)
• Store Ownership: Maintain a clean, highly organized, and secure factory storeroom for raw materials, hardware, safety gear, and finishing tools.
• Stock Tracking: Run a tight inventory log; track incoming materials and outgoing consumables to ensure the production line never faces a bottleneck or shortage.
• Quality Inward Check: Inspect all incoming vendor deliveries at the factory for correct quantities and zero damage before logging them into storage.
• 3. Site Logistics & Unloading Supervision
• Dispatch Preparation: Coordinate with the factory team to ensure finished products are securely packed, padded, and safely loaded onto transport vehicles to prevent any transit damage.
• Site Delivery Oversight: Travel to project sites alongside high-value shipments to supervise the entire transportation and arrival process.
• Unloading Supervision: Directly manage site labor during the unloading process. Ensure heavy, fragile, or bespoke architectural pieces are handled with extreme care and correct equipment.
• Client/Site Handover: Act as the face of the company on-site during delivery; verify delivery quantities with the client’s site representative, complete the paperwork, and secure official delivery sign-offs.

• Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years of experience combining field procurement, store/inventory tracking, and site delivery operations (ideally within architectural products, construction materials, or interior fit-outs).
• Logistics & Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle for local market running, and a willingness to travel to local/regional project sites.
• Physical Stamina & Grit: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, splitting time between the road, a busy factory floor, and active project sites.
• Communication & Assertiveness: Clear communication skills to manage local vendors, command authority over site unloading labor, and professionally interface with client site managers.
• Tech Literacy: Comfortable using smartphone apps for instant communication (sharing site photos, receipt updates) and basic digital logs for store tracking.
