Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Export Executive to manage and expand our international business operations. The candidate will be responsible for handling export documentation, coordinating shipments, communicating with overseas customers, and supporting business development activities.
- Key ResponsibilitiesExport Documentation & CompliancePrepare and verify export documentation such as:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Shipping Bill
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance Documents
- Export Declarations
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade policies.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities.
- International Sales & Customer CoordinationCommunicate with overseas buyers and distributors through email, phone, and virtual meetings.
- Handle customer inquiries, quotations, order confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing international clients.
- Follow up on leads generated through trade portals, exhibitions, and digital platforms.
- Order Processing & Shipment CoordinationCoordinate with production, packaging, and dispatch teams to ensure timely execution of export orders.
- Monitor shipment schedules and update customers regarding dispatch and delivery status.
- Resolve shipment-related issues and customer complaints promptly.
- Market Research & Business DevelopmentIdentify potential international markets and new business opportunities.
- Research competitors, market trends, and pricing strategies.
- Assist in developing export strategies for business expansion.
- Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meetings when required.
- Reporting & MISMaintain accurate records of export orders, customer communications, and shipment details.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on export sales, pending orders, collections, and market developments.
- Update CRM and customer databases regularly.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, International Business, or related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Export-Import Management will be preferred.
- Experience2 to 5 years of experience in export operations, international sales, or export documentation.
- Experience in the FMCG/Food industry will be an added advantage.
- Required SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and international trade procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of DGFT, Customs, INCOTERMS, and international logistics.
- Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with international customers.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of B2B portals such as Alibaba, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, etc., will be preferred.
