Account Executive (Accounting)

Position: Junior Accountant

Reports to: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Overview

Supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable

Reconcile bank statements and company accounts

Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payments

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Support preparation of financial statements and reports

Maintain and organize financial documents and records

Assist with payroll processing (if applicable)

Help with tax filing preparation and audits

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

0–2 years of relevant experience (internships count)

Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)

Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good communication skills

Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing or holding certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA)

Experience with ERP systems
