Job Description
The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant and facility operations.
- Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in motors, panels, MCC, PLC systems, and instruments.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
- Replace defective components such as relays, contactors, breakers, and cables.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Support production and utility operations during breakdowns.
- Follow lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and safety procedures.
- Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of electrical circuits and systems.
- Experience with testing tools (multimeter, megger, clamp meter).
- Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD, and control systems.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of electrical safety standards.
- QualificationsITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (industry preferred).
- Electrical license/certification (B or C)
