Job Description: CNC Setter – CNC Turning (Fanuc Controller)

Location: VGP mount view, Plot no 31, Oragadam Industrial Corridor, Oragadam, Tamil Nadu 631604

Job Summary

We are seeking a CNC Setter for our CNC Turning operations. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, tool setting, offset management, program verification, and ensuring quality production on Fanuc-controlled CNC machines. Fresh candidates with relevant CNC training and a strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up CNC Turning machines as per production requirements.
2. Install and set cutting tools, tool offsets, and work offsets.
3. Load and verify CNC programs before production.
4. Perform first-piece inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy.
5. Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset corrections.
6. Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
7. Measure components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
8. Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.
9. Troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues.
10. Coordinate with production and quality teams to achieve production targets.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant CNC machining certification.
• Knowledge of CNC Turning operations and Fanuc controllers.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Knowledge of tool setting, offsets, and machining processes.
• Freshers with CNC training may apply; experience is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of CNC Turning Centers.
• Understanding of machining parameters, tooling, and quality control.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
