Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Engineer
Job Summary
As an Instrumentation Technician at Godrej (Chengalpattu), you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of industrial instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal plant performance, safety, and uptime. You will work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to support daily operations and preventive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Instrumentation Maintenance & Repairs
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of field instruments, sensors, transmitters, gauges, control valves, and other process instruments.
Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs for instruments and instrumentation systems to minimize downtime.
Perform installation and commissioning of new instruments and control systems as needed.
Calibration & Testing
Calibrate instruments (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level) to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Use calibration tools and testing equipment to maintain system accuracy and compliance.
Maintenance Planning & Documentation
Assist in preventive maintenance planning and execution as per schedule.
Maintain detailed maintenance records, calibration reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure work activities adhere to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
System Support & Collaboration
Support operation teams by ensuring instrumentation systems are reliable and functioning correctly.
Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve system performance.
