About UsRam Food Industries is a growing manufacturer of premium moong products with two manufacturing plants. We are looking for an experienced Plant Operations Manager who can take complete ownership of production and operations while working directly with the promoters.

This is not a routine production manager role. We are looking for someone who wants to become a key member of our leadership team and help build a world-class manufacturing organization.

• Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & OperationsManage end-to-end production of both manufacturing plants.
• Ensure maximum utilization of plant capacity.
• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure production schedules are completed on time.
• Plan manpower, machine utilization, and production flow efficiently.
• Reduce downtime and improve overall plant productivity.
• Inventory & Yield ManagementEnsure accurate accounting of all Raw Material, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods.
• Monitor production yield and continuously improve recovery.
• Prepare and review daily Yield Reports.
• Minimize wastage and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure inventory accuracy at every stage of production.
• Quality ManagementDrive a culture of quality with the objective of achieving zero avoidable customer quality complaints.
• Ensure quality checks are followed at every production stage.
• Work closely with the Quality team to eliminate recurring quality issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Dispatch & LogisticsManage inward and outward movement of goods.
• Ensure dispatches are completed as per customer commitments.
• Coordinate production with sales orders and dispatch schedules.
• Prevent delivery delays through effective planning.
• Leadership & AccountabilityBuild accountability across supervisors and production teams.
• Monitor daily production performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Lead by example on the shop floor.
• Develop a disciplined, performance-driven work culture.
• Work closely with the promoters on operational planning and continuous improvement.
• Data & Process ImprovementMonitor daily production, inventory, yield, manpower, downtime, and quality reports.
• Make decisions based on data rather than assumptions.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement systems to improve productivity.
• Standardize processes to improve consistency and reduce dependency on individuals.
• Desired Candidate ProfileAge: 35 years or above.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Production or Plant Operations.
• Experience in Dal Mill, Rice Mill, Grain Processing, Flour Mill, Pulses, Food Processing, or FMCG Manufacturing is highly preferred.

Working EnvironmentThis is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on the shop floor, leading teams by example, and driving continuous improvements in productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and housekeeping.
