Assistant Designer

Company Description: NewBlue is a multidisciplinary design studio working at the intersection of interiors & product design with a focus on material innovation for craft preservation. What began as a research practice around Jaipur Blue Pottery has evolved into a studio exploring how thoughtful design can shape the objects we live with, the materials we build from, and the spaces we inhabit.

Today, our work spans collectible design, material research, exhibitions, and interiors. We're building not just beautiful products, but the systems that allow a small, ambitious design studio to grow.

We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to creative work and is excited to help build those systems from the ground up.

What you'll do : You'll work directly with the founder across almost every aspect of the studio, helping ideas move from sketches to finished products, exhibitions and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing project timelines, task lists, and studio calendars.

• Building and maintaining inventory systems for products, samples and materials.

• Assisting with the launch and day-to-day management of our e-shop.

• Coordinating packaging, shipping and order fulfilment.

• Preparing presentations, spreadsheets and project documentation.

• Coordinating with artisans, vendors, photographers and collaborators.

• Organising product photoshoots and maintaining digital assets.

• Assisting with exhibitions, installations and events.

• Supporting interior design projects with sourcing, documentation and coordination.

• Continuously improving the systems and workflows that keep the studio running smoothly.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making complex projects feel organised.

You are someone who:

Has a degree in Design, Art, Management, or a related field.

• Is exceptionally organised and detail-oriented.

• Communicates clearly and follows through reliably.

• Enjoys creating systems, checklists, and workflows while documenting it all with exceptional detail.

• Is comfortable working with Google Workspace and spreadsheets (experience with Notion is a bonus).

• Has an appreciation for good design, photography, and visual storytelling.

• Is proactive, resourceful, and enjoys solving problems independently.

Design software experience is a bonus, but organisation and ownership are far more important.
