Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and track all vehicles operating during night shifts to ensure smooth and uninterrupted movement.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely reporting at loading and unloading points.
- Ensure diesel advances and fuel requirements are arranged and provided on time to avoid transit delays.
- Monitor all in-transit reefer vehicles to ensure refrigeration units are functioning properly and temperatures are maintained as per customer requirements.
- Verify that drivers have correctly set and maintained temperature settings throughout the journey.
- Continuously track vehicle movement and proactively identify risks such as delays, route deviations, breakdowns, or temperature excursions.
- Ensure drivers follow safe driving practices, avoid rash or overspeed driving, and comply with company safety guidelines.
- Monitor driver duty hours and ensure adequate rest breaks are taken, especially during night operations, to prevent fatigue-related incidents.
- Immediately escalate any operational issues, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, temperature deviations, or potential service failures to senior management.
- Maintain night movement reports, incident logs, and hand over pending issues to the day operations
