Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the quality of MS steel structure fabrication, welding, painting, and erection activities in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming materials and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
Monitor fabrication, fit-up, welding, and dimensional accuracy.
Conduct visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT).
Inspect surface preparation, painting, and Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
Verify erection quality, alignment, bolt tightening, and structural tolerances.
Prepare and maintain quality documents such as ITPs, inspection reports, NCRs, and quality dossiers.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO 9001, IS 800, AWS D1.1, and other applicable standards.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams during inspections and quality audits.
Identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification:
B.Tech in Mechanical with experience in structural steel fabrication and QA/QC.
