Junior Mechanical Draftsman

Job Description:

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Draftsman for our engineering and fabrication projects. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and prepare drawings for equipment, piping and fabricated structures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD

• Prepare fabrication, assembly and general arrangement drawings

• Prepare equipment layouts, piping layouts and basic process drawings

• Make revisions in drawings based on engineer and client comments

• Prepare bill of materials and maintain drawing records

• Coordinate with the engineering, purchase and fabrication teams

• Take basic site or equipment measurements whenever required

• Ensure drawings have correct dimensions, specifications and revision numbers

Required Skills:

• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD

• Ability to understand mechanical and fabrication drawings

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office

• Willingness to learn equipment design and manufacturing processes

• Good attention to detail

• Candidates having basic knowledge of SolidWorks will be preferred
