Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The ideal candidate should have technical knowledge of electrical systems, solar panels, inverters, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Install solar PV panels, mounting structures, inverters, and electrical wiring.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar power systems.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical components.
Conduct site inspections and system performance testing.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Monitor system performance and prepare maintenance reports.
Coordinate with engineers and project teams during installation and commissioning.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
Follow all company safety policies and use PPE during fieldwork.
Required Qualifications:
ITI/Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Certification in Solar PV Installation (preferred).
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in solar installation or maintenance.
Freshers with relevant technical training may also apply.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of solar PV systems and inverters.
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites.
Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
Preferred Experience:
Residential, commercial, or utility-scale solar projects.
Experience with commissioning and maintenance of rooftop or ground-mounted solar plants.
Working Conditions:
Field-based role with frequent travel.
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
May require overtime during project deadlines.
