Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reports To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager


Employment Type: Full-Time


  • Experience:1–3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a similar role.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Herbal, or Healthcare industries is preferred.
  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • M.Com or MBA (Finance) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Tally Prime, Busy, SAP, or any ERP software is preferred.


Detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support the Accounts & Finance department. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Accounts Payable & Receivable:


  • Process vendor invoices and supplier payments.
  • Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of receivables and payables.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.


2. Bookkeeping & Accounting:


  • Record day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Maintain journals, ledgers, and cash books.
  • Post accounting entries accurately in the ERP/Tally system.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.


3. Bank & Cash Reconciliation:


  • Perform daily bank reconciliation.
  • Maintain petty cash records.
  • Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing bank-related documentation.


4. Payroll Support:


  • Assist in payroll processing.
  • Verify employee reimbursement claims.
  • Maintain payroll-related records.
  • Coordinate with HR for salary processing.


5. GST & Statutory Compliance:


  • Assist in preparing GST returns.
  • Support TDS calculations and filings.
  • Maintain statutory records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.


6. Financial Reporting:


  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
  • Generate MIS reports.
  • Prepare expense reports and cost summaries.
  • Support internal and external audits.


7. Documentation & Record Management:


  • Maintain accounting files and financial documents.
  • Organize invoices, vouchers, and payment records.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
  • Archive records as per company policy.


8. Coordination:

  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Support procurement and finance teams during payment processing.
  • Respond to accounting-related queries.
