Senior Staff Nurse

1.      To take over from the assigned area staff nurses regarding the events.

2.     To visit every patients in the allotted area and check nursing clinical status.

3.     To give more attention towards critical and pre & post-operative patients during patients visit.

4.     To check the completion of all registers involved in NABH process in the allotted areas.

5.     To verify the medical records in the allotted areas (to check whether the events are correctly mentioned in registers, coinciding the patient’s records)

6.     To check the validation – autoclaved bins / instruments/medicines/stock inventories in the allotted areas.

7.     To accompany physician/consultants and to monitor the completion of their orders.

8.     To monitor & check the patient shifting (including outside for investigation or Theatre).

9.     To monitor the status of discharge in coordination with ward secretary.

10. To ensure the delivery of investigation reports /films to the patient attenders at the time of discharge (For cashless pts original reports to be submitted in the insurance department )

11. To give continuous orientation regarding safety aspects, HIC practices and maintenance follow up process among staff.

12. To take part in CNE in coordination with Nursing Superintendent.

13. To carry out any further instructions from Nursing Superintendent.
