Job Description
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and
tolerances of tools and dies
Design and build tools and dies using various machines and tools
Inspect finished tools and dies for accuracy and quality
Repair and maintain existing tools and dies
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues
Ensure that all tools and dies meet safety standards
Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance and repairs
Controlling of non-conforming products & corrective and/or preventive actions related to tools.
Trouble shooting in manufacturing process/tools
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
Experience using various machines and tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
