About the RoleSunlane Cleantech is building the digital backbone for residential solar and energy management — helping customers transition to clean energy through products that are simple, reliable, and genuinely useful.

We're looking for a Product Manager to work across our product portfolio — both customer-facing (our mobile app, used by solar customers to monitor and manage their systems) and internal (tools our operations, sales, and service teams use to run the business). There's no split between the two here; both get the same bar for quality and the same level of ownership.

You'll report directly to the CPO and co-founder, and own specific features and workflows end to end — understanding the problem, defining what to build, tracking it through to delivery, and testing it rigorously before it ships. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, not a spec-writing job: you'll be in CRM workflows, coordinating with our external development partners, running QA on what comes back, building dashboards, and rolling out tools to the teams that use them.

• What You'll Work OnOwning specific features and workflows end to end — from problem definition to shipped, working software
• Talking directly to customers and internal users (ops, sales, service teams) to understand what's actually going wrong, not just what dashboards say
• Managing and improving Zoho CRM and Books workflows
• Coordinating with our external development partners — tracking delivery, unblocking issues, and rigorously testing what comes back before it ships
• Building dashboards and reports to track what's working and what isn't
• Supporting rollout, training, and troubleshooting of internal tools across teams
• Writing clear specs and using AI tools (for mocks, prototypes, or drafting) as part of your day-to-day workflow
• Spotting the difference between "shipped" and "actually usable" — and pushing back when something's the former but not the latter

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in product management, or in a role with real product ownership (not just BA/coordination) — startups or high-growth environments preferred
• A track record of talking to actual users and letting that change your mind about what to build — not just running research as a formality
• Comfortable making prioritization calls under ambiguity, and can explain a specific tradeoff you made and what you chose not to do
• Data-literate — comfortable with dashboards, funnels, and metrics — but you don't need to be technical
• A good eye for UX: you can tell when something technically works but isn't actually usable, and you act on it
• Strong ownership instinct — you follow things through to done, not just to "handed off"
• Good written and verbal communication in English; Malayalam is a plus, not required
• Nice to HaveSome awareness of India's residential solar or broader cleantech market
• Comfortable using AI coding tools to prototype, mock up, or ship small fixes yourself
