Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineer to design, execute, and manage Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, project execution, installation, testing & commissioning, and client coordination while ensuring quality, safety, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Design & Engineering

Design HVAC systems including cooling load calculations, ducting, piping, ventilation, and equipment selection.

Prepare HVAC layouts, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

Review project specifications, BOQs, and technical drawings.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Project Execution

Supervise HVAC installation activities at project sites.

Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP teams.

Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.

Resolve technical issues arising during installation and execution.

Testing & Commissioning

Conduct testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Verify system performance and troubleshoot operational issues.

Ensure successful handover of completed systems to clients.

Quality & Safety

Ensure all HVAC work complies with quality standards and safety regulations.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

Implement preventive measures to minimize rework and delays.

Vendor & Client Coordination

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Evaluate technical submittals and material approvals.

Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.

Maintain project documentation, inspection reports, and commissioning records.

Track material requirements and coordinate procurement activities.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, ventilation systems, and DX systems.

Experience in HVAC design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Knowledge of ASHRAE, NBC, IS Codes, and other HVAC standards.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Knowledge of HVAC load calculation software (HAP, Elite, or equivalent) is preferred.

Strong project management and coordination skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Certification in HVAC Design or MEP will be an added advantage.

Experience

3–8 years of relevant experience in HVAC design, execution, or MEP projects.

Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, residential high-rise projects, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in end-to-end HVAC project execution.

Strong understanding of HVAC design calculations and system optimization.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in contractor, consultant, or MEP contracting companies.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
