Production Supervisor (Jewellery)

About the Role

Divinelane is looking for an experienced and diligent Production Supervisor to oversee our jewellery manufacturing operations at our Jaipur office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, supervising skilled artisans (karigars), and ensuring that the final products meet our quality standards and design specifications.

The ideal candidate must have a solid background in jewelry making and proven experience in managing blue-collar teams in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Artisan Supervision: Manage, guide, and supervise the team of karigars involved in ring making, gemstone fitting, and jewellery crafting.
• Production Oversight: Oversee the entire jewellery-making process from design translation to the finished product, ensuring timelines are met.
• Quality Control: Inspect products at different stages of production to ensure precise gemstone fitting, proper finishing, and alignment with approved jewellery designs.
• Workforce Management: Effectively handle day-to-day operations of blue-collar employees, including task allocation, attendance, resolving workplace issues, and maintaining floor discipline.
• Wastage & Inventory Control: Monitor the usage of precious metals and gemstones to minimize wastage and maintain accurate records of materials assigned to karigars.
• Coordination: Coordinate closely with the jewellery design and management teams to resolve any production-related queries.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a jewellery manufacturing setup.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of jewellery making processes, specifically ring manufacturing, stone-setting/gemstone fitting, and interpreting jewellery designs.
• People Management: Excellent team-handling skills with prior experience managing blue-collar workers/artisans.
• Language: Strong communication skills (fluency in Hindi is essential; local language proficiency is a plus).
• Location: Must be based in or willing to work full-time from our Jaipur office.
