Job Description
Role and responsibility:
Career Counsellor – NGO School Outreach Project
This project aims to provide career guidance and counselling to students across schools in Bengaluru, nearby rural areas, and villages along the Maharashtra border. The initiative focuses on helping students make informed educational and career choices through structured career guidance sessions.
- Key Responsibilities- Conduct career guidance and counselling sessions for students in schools as per the project schedule.
- Travel with the project team to various schools in Bengaluru, surrounding villages, and the Maharashtra border region.
- Be available to travel for one week at a stretch each month for on-site counselling assignments.
- Deliver engaging and interactive career guidance sessions using the training and resources provided.
- Assist students in understanding their interests, strengths, aptitude, and career opportunities.
- Coordinate with school representatives and the project team to ensure the smooth execution of counselling programs.
- Maintain records of counselling sessions and submit reports as required.
- Represent the organization professionally while interacting with students, teachers, school authorities, and other stakeholders.
Training & Onboarding
- Selected candidates will undergo one week of online training to understand the counselling framework, tools, and project methodology.
- On the final day of the training, candidates are required to visit the ERA Foundation office for a meet-and-greet and orientation with the project team.

- Preferred Candidate ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for education, youth development, and community outreach.
The candidate should have proficiency in speaking in Canada
