The Role

We are looking for a Video Editor with technical precision and a genuine sense of visual storytelling. You will edit content spanning master artist profiles, workshop reels, product showcases, and brand campaigns. If you have an eye for art, a feel for pacing, and know what makes someone stop scrolling, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit videos for Instagram, YouTube, and digital campaigns — from raw footage to final export.
• Cut Reels, artist story videos, workshop highlights, and product showcases that are visually compelling and platform-optimised.
• Perform colour grading to ensure every frame reflects the richness and authenticity of Indian folk and tribal art.
• Handle audio editing — balancing music, voiceovers, ambient sound, and effects for immersive viewing experiences.
• Create motion graphics, lower thirds, and title cards using After Effects.
• Collaborate with the creative team to translate briefs into strong visual narratives on time.
• Organise project files, raw footage, assets, and exports in a clean, accessible workflow.
• QC every final cut — checking transitions, audio levels, pacing, and export specs before publishing.
• Stay current with editing trends and platform formats relevant to art, culture, and lifestyle content.

• Storytelling Skills — Ability to shape raw footage into a compelling narrative.
• Attention to Detail — Every cut, transition, and sound level is deliberate and exact.
• Cinematic Shot Sense — Strong grasp of angles, composition, lighting, and visual aesthetics.
• Knowledge of Shot Types — Familiarity with close-ups, wide shots, tracking shots, and cinematic framing.
• Pacing and Timing — Knowing when to cut, hold, or let a moment breathe for maximum impact.
• Colour Grading Skills — Enhancing mood and visual quality, especially for the vivid palette of Indian folk art.
• Audio Editing Skills — Balancing music, dialogue, and effects into a cohesive audio experience.
• Software Proficiency — Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
• Time Management — Delivering multiple projects within deadlines without compromising quality.
• Problem-Solving Ability — Finding creative and technical solutions during the edit.
• Organisation Skills — Managing files, assets, and project structures so handoffs are seamless.

• Experience editing for an art, culture, travel, or lifestyle brand.
• Motion graphics or animation skills beyond standard templates.
• Willingness to assist with on-location shoots when needed.
