Job Description
Role Objective:
As an Assistant Manager – Civil Engineer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all civil engineering activities for ground-mounted solar projects—including layout planning, earthwork, foundation construction, and site supervision. Your expertise ensures structural integrity, cost-eAiciency, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify site layout designs, module mounting structures (MMS), and trenching plans
- Oversee excavation, leveling, drainage systems, fencing, and foundation construction
- Supervise contractors and labor teams to ensure quality and safety compliance on site
- Review civil drawings, BOQs, and coordinate with consultants for technical validation
- Track progress of civil works using project schedules and update DPRs/MIS
- Ensure optimal usage of civil materials and prevent wastage or cost overruns
- Support topographical surveys and geotechnical testing activities as required
- Conduct inspections for civil quality audits and handover documentation
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute
- Proficiency in Auto-CAD, MS Project, and civil estimation tools
- Good understanding of soil types, foundation design, and MMS specifications
