Job SummaryWe are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Field Sales Executive to promote and sell academic books and educational publications to schools, coaching centres, colleges, educational institutions, bookstores, and retailers. The candidate will be responsible for field visits, customer acquisition, relationship management, order generation, collections, and business development within the assigned territory.



  • Key ResponsibilitiesField Sales & Business DevelopmentVisit schools, coaching centres, colleges, educational institutions, bookstores, and retailers regularly.
  • Meet Principals, Academic Coordinators, Teachers, Librarians, School Management, Booksellers, and other decision-makers.
  • Promote academic books, educational publications, and new releases.
  • Present company products and explain their features, syllabus relevance, and academic benefits.
  • Carry and distribute sample copies of books to teachers and institutions.
  • Generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Identify potential customers and convert leads into sales.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain long-term relationships with schools, teachers, retailers, distributors, and institutional customers.
  • Understand customer requirements based on board, class, subject, and curriculum.
  • Provide suitable product recommendations according to customer needs.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Order ManagementCollect purchase orders and ensure timely processing.
  • Coordinate with billing, warehouse, dispatch, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.
  • Track deliveries and ensure customers receive supplies on time.
  • Follow up for pending orders, shortages, and back orders.
  • Assist customers with replacement requests and after-sales support when required.
  • Market DevelopmentCollect market intelligence regarding competitor products, pricing, publisher activities, and syllabus changes.
  • Identify new schools, coaching centres, retailers, and institutional opportunities.
  • Maintain updated customer databases and territory records.
  • Promote new publications and seasonal academic products.
  • Collections & Payment Follow-upFollow up with customers for timely payments and outstanding dues.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department regarding collections and payment status.
  • Ensure proper documentation of payments and customer acknowledgements.
  • ReportingSubmit daily visit reports and sales reports.
  • Maintain records of customer visits, follow-ups, orders, and collections.
  • Share market feedback and customer insights with management.
  • Plan daily and weekly visit schedules effectively.
  • Promotional ActivitiesParticipate in book fairs, exhibitions, teacher workshops, seminars, and educational events.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and promotional activities.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

  • Language RequirementsAbility to communicate in English, Hindi, and Bengali is preferred.



  • Mandatory RequirementsOwn two-wheeler for field visits.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.



  • Preferred QualificationsGraduate in any discipline.
  • Candidate with a laptop will be preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Email, WhatsApp, and reporting tools.
  • Prior experience in educational sales, publishing, book distribution, FMCG sales, retail sales, institutional sales, or field sales will be an added advantage.
