Job Description
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. The role involves menu planning, kitchen management, staff supervision, cost control, inventory management, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.
- Key Responsibilities:Culinary OperationsPlan, develop, and update menus according to seasonal availability, customer preferences, and business requirements.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control of all food items.
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of all dishes served.
- Develop innovative recipes and introduce new culinary concepts.
- Kitchen ManagementOversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage workforce productivity.
- Maintain discipline, teamwork, and a positive working environment.
- Food Safety & HygieneEnsure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Implement and monitor HACCP and health regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Cost Control & InventoryMonitor food costs, labor costs, and kitchen expenses.
- Manage purchasing, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
- Minimize food wastage and maximize operational efficiency.
- Prepare budgets and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Customer Service & Quality AssuranceEnsure high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent food quality and presentation.
- Handle special requests, dietary requirements, and customer feedback professionally.
- Coordinate with management and service teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
