Senior Accountant – Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, and day-to-day accounting operations. The candidate should be capable of handling accounting activities independently and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries and bookkeeping
• Handle GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance
• Prepare and file TDS returns and maintain related records
• Manage bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly reports
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Maintain purchase, sales, and expense records
• Coordinate with CA, auditors, and tax consultants
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and taxation laws
• Handle payroll accounting and statutory deductions
• Maintain accurate documentation and records

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software such as MIRACLE
• Good understanding of taxation and compliance
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) or related field
• M.Com or Inter CA preferred
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in manufacturing/trading/service industry preferred
• Good knowledge of statutory compliance
• Detail-oriented and organized
