Job Description
Job Description: Area Sales Manager (ASM)Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Lead Generation: Identify prospective customers using business directories, online searches, and other sources. Actively follow up on leads generated from existing clients.
- Field Sales & Travel: Travel to assigned regions to meet with new clients and identify prospects. Note: The ASM must mandatorily undertake field tours to meet clients for 18 days in a month, maximizing client meetings in each location. Tour plans must be shared with the reporting head in the agreed format.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitor pricing, and sales trends. Attend relevant exhibitions, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Sales Strategy & Negotiation: Implement effective sales strategies, policies, and processes to achieve or exceed targets in assigned accounts and markets.
- Financial & Order Management: Ensure all received orders are based on acceptable commercial and secure payment terms to safeguard the company’s financial interests. Keep strict track of receivables and proactively follow up with customers for timely payments and debt recovery.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Share daily MIS reports detailing calls made, client visits, samples collected, and payment follow-ups with the immediate reporting manager.
- Process and email all orders, coordinating directly with the dispatch department for the seamless transport of goods.
- Submit all collected visiting cards of clients/influencers to management and continuously update their contact details in a centralized Excel sheet.
- Maintain an accurate record of all promotional gifts distributed to clients.
Who Can Apply:
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven experience in sales.
- Industry Preference: Candidates who already have a strong market presence, an established customer base, and excellent business relationships within the PVC industry will be given top priority.
- Key Skills: Must be a highly motivated achiever with excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
