Assistant Manager - Lead Planning & Sourcing

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, review, and maintain rolling demand forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Production, and Finance teams.
  • Ensure robust supply plans that align with production schedules and customer requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, and compliance.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for key categories and high‑value items.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, capital items, and services.
  • Manage PO lifecycle—including creation, approval, execution, and closure
  • Establish strong relationships with key suppliers for strategic alignment.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance reviews.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Support new product development by securing materials and negotiating tooling/production costs

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E./ B.Tech; MBA preferred

Work Experience (Range of years):

Freshers permitted.

Preferred Industry:

Background in the Power and Utilities sector with a proven expertise in managing procurement processes, budgeting, and supplier relationships.
