Job Purpose:

Responsible to support the growth and expansion of the business by identifying new opportunities, conducting thorough research and analysis, preparing qualification documents, and facilitating effective communication with various stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical, research, and organizational skills to contribute to the successful acquisition and execution of projects.

Opportunity Identification and Pipeline Creation:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on market developments and government policies in the industry.
  • Identify potential business opportunities withi the sector and create a robust pipeline of prospective projects and clients.
  • Track and analyze tenders floated by various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and prepare eligibility lists based on qualification requirements (QR).

 

Project Evaluation and Due Diligence:

  • Evaluate the technical complexity and revenue capability of prospective projects.
  • Perform due diligence within 45-90 days for new projects and existing projects in the pipeline.
  • Conduct financial evaluation of projects, including financial modeling and analyse the results of due diligence activity.

 

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Prepare qualification documents for prospective projects.
  • Handle joint venture requirements, ensuring compliance with partnership agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Liaison with financial, technical, and legal teams to ensure project compliance and readiness.

 

Research and Strategic Analysis:

  • Compile detailed notes and analyses on market trends, developments, and government policies.
  • Prepare and periodically update comprehensive databases to keep the BD team and management well-informed.
  • Shortlist upcoming projects, tender/auction timelines, and production phasing, and perform SWOT analysis of existing business operations.

 

Financial and Technical Liaison:

  • Communicate queries and project requirements to auditors or consultants.
  • Engage with consultants to form the requirements of bids and coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, including finance, technical, and legal departments, to ensure project alignment and readiness.

 

Technology and IT Enablement:

  • Utilize MS Office proficiently for data analysis, report preparation, and presentation development.
  • Employ data analysis techniques to enhance the accuracy and reliability of research findings and strategic notes.
  • Ensure that all databases, reports, and presentations are updated regularly and accessible to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
