Job Title-CNC Turning Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turning Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning machines for the production of precision components. The ideal candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, perform quality inspections, and maintain productivity while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC turning (lathe) machines according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Load raw materials and tooling into the machine.
• Perform tool offset adjustments and basic machine parameter corrections.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure parts meet quality specifications.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Replace worn tools and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Record production data and maintain inspection reports.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Required Qualifications
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machinist, Turner, or a related trade.
• 1–5 years of experience operating CNC turning machines (experience requirements may vary based on the role).
• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T is an advantage.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds.
