Job Description

Executive Trainee

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Business Support
  • Assist the CEO in strategic planning, business reviews, and execution of key initiatives.
  • Support evaluation of new business opportunities in ports, logistics, and allied sectors.
  • Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and commercial assessments.
2. Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis
  • Prepare strategic dashboards, MIS reports, and presentations for CEO-level reviews.
  • Track KPIs across business units (operations, commercial, finance, safety, logistics).
  • Analyze complex data sets to generate insights and recommendations for leadership.
3. CEO Office Governance & Coordination
  • Coordinate with HO functions and port sites on CEO directives and priority projects.
  • Follow-up on high-level action items, ensuring timelines and quality of deliverables.
  • Enable effective communication flow between CEO Office and internal stakeholders.
4. Executive Support & Decision-Enablement
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentation decks, and documentation for meetings.
  • Support CEO in engagements with clients, government bodies, investors, and partners.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis on strategic proposals and business cases.
5. Project Management – Special Initiatives
  • Assist in execution and monitoring of strategic projects (digitalization, efficiency, expansion, partnerships).
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and track progress.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
6. Research & Thought Leadership
  • Conduct research on policy, trade, port sector trends, and industry developments.
  • Prepare concept notes and strategic briefing papers.
  • Support CEO Office in innovation, ESG initiatives, and best‑practice adoption.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / economics / commerce / Statistics AND/OR
  • MBA / PGDM (Strategy, Finance, Operations, Marketing, or General Management)
Experience:
  • 0–2 years
